About Kerala Samajam, Jamshedpur

Established in 1939, Kerala Samajam is one of the biggest Malayalee Samajams in the eastern region of the country with around 1500 active members. This organization has been constituted with the objective of creating a network and identity of the people from the state and residing in the city. Over the years, along with working tumultously towards the welfare of the Malayaalees (Keralites) living in the region

What we do

Over the years, Kerala Samajam has been working towards the welfare of the Malayalees (Keralites) living in the eastern region. Kerala Samajam has also been actively involved in numerous local CSR activities. In 1980, the organization instituted the Kerala Samajam Model School, affliated to the CISCE Board. The school, which boasts of around 3,500 students, has become one of the renowned schools of this Steel City. Dedicated to the upliftment of the downtrodden, KSMS also manages a Free Hindi Medium School, better known as the Hindi Project School, which imparts education to around 1,300 underprivileged children, providing them with books, uniform free-of-cost.

Kerala Samajam Hindi School

Kerala Samajam has an evening Hindi School and its student strength has gone up from 50 to 1300

Kerala Samajam Model School

The Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) was founded in 1965 by Mr K M Abraham, the Education Officer, Tata Steel.

Chairman's Message

I am pleased to inform that Kerala Samajam, a socio cultural educational intitution has been serving the Jamshedpur community during the last eight decades or so.
The Kerala Samajam has always served and enlivened the people of this town by being educationally and culturally active. I am happy to note that over the years it has grown in size and popularity and I hope it continues to progress and prosper in the years to come.
