About Kerala Samajam

Who we are
One of the oldest Malayalee organisations in eastern India
Established in 1939, Kerala Samajam is one of the largest Malayalee organisations in the eastern region of the country, with around 1,500 active members. It was constituted to create a network and an identity for people from Kerala living in the steel city.
Over the years, Kerala Samajam has worked steadily for the welfare of the Malayalee community living in the eastern region, and has taken part in numerous local CSR activities.
The organisation established the Kerala Samajam Model School, affiliated to the CISCE Board. With around 3,500 students, it has become one of the best-known schools in the steel city.
Dedicated to the upliftment of the underprivileged, the Samajam also runs a free Hindi-medium school — better known as the Hindi Project School — which educates around 1,300 children, providing books and uniforms free of charge.
In his own words
I am pleased to inform that Kerala Samajam, a socio-cultural and educational institution, has been serving the Jamshedpur community for the last eight decades or so.
The Kerala Samajam has always served and enlivened the people of this town by being educationally and culturally active. I am happy to note that over the years it has grown in size and popularity, and I hope it continues to progress and prosper in the years to come.
I wish Kerala Samajam and its members the very best.
