When did Kerala Samajam Start? Where did it start? Where is our Kerala Samajam right now and how did we land here? Read on to know more about Kerala Samajam.

The idea of setting up Kerala Samajam originated in 1939 when Shree C.A. Sreedharan Pillai, along with his friends, was celebrating Onam in H6 – Qr. No. 27 in Bina Road, Burmamines. Eighteen Malayalees, who were a part of the Malayalee mess run during that time, were attending this celebration. They were the people who became the first set of members of our Kerala Samajam. To make this dream come true, all Malayalees in the region were called upon and an unofficial meeting was organised at the house in 27 Bina Road. Apart from the first 18 members, 50 other Malayalees also attended this historic meeting. Which culminated to the creation of Kerala Club subsequently renamed to Kerala Samajam.
